CS Across the Curriculum Summit 2022

Computer Science is taking the world by storm, and day by day, it is becoming eminent that Computer Science can enhance learning for all subject areas. This year, during the virtual CS Across the Curriculum Summit, which took place on 12 February, teachers in grades K-12 were able to explore new ways to integrate computer science in areas such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies/History and Visual/Performing Arts.

More than 30 speakers delivered a well-structured and rich agenda, where it was concluded that integrating computer science into different subject matters is becoming vital in delivering inclusive learning experiences to students. CSTA is keen to align computer science teachers across the community to deliver their best in terms of materials, tools and content to interested students. Such initiatives will allow students to study facets of computer science in more depth and prepare them for entry into the workforce or college.

Being part of the summit gave Coding Rooms insights into what might be needed to make this transition happen to K-12 education and enhancement ideas to our app that would meet the expectations of the end-users.
